Offline Translation

You can download project files for offline translation if the project manager enables public downloads.

Download All Files for a Specific Language at Once

  1. Go to the project page
  2. Select the language
  3. Click the button with a cloud icon
  4. Choose Download or Download in XLIFF

Using Download option, you will get a ZIP archive with all project files containing translations.

Pay attention, that for all file formats that do not have a defined structure (such as: HTML, Plain Text, Markdown, OpenOffice, Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Adobe FrameMaker, Webxml) the translations upload in the same file format is impossible.

Download option is useful in case you want to test the product’s localized version.

Using Download in XLIFF, you will get all source strings and already existing translations in a single file. This way is more convenient, as it does not require to open each file separately to translate. XLIFF files are supported by the majority of desktop localization tools.
