OHT Integration

Integrate your Crowdin projects with One Hour Translation (OHT) agency and allow OHT translators to work with translation files in Crowdin Editor.

The integration provides:

  • instant synchronization of localization content from Crowdin to OHT using Crowdin tasks
  • possibility for OHT translators to easily access and work in Crowdin Editor
  • 2-way synchronization of comments between OHT and Crowdin

Connecting OHT with Crowdin

Note: OHT integration is now in beta testing. If you want to connect with OHT select Enable Beta features box using Account Settings > Beta Features.

Beta Features

You need to have a Customer account in OHT to enable integration and sufficient Credit Balance so you can use OHT translation services. Register at OneHourTranslation if you don’t have an account yet.

Follow these steps to establish the connection:

  1. Log in to Crowdin and open Settings of the project you need to translate.
  2. Go to Vendors > One Hour Translation.
  3. Click Connect Account. Connect OHT
  4. Enter Public Key and Secret Key from OHT API keys tab. Click Submit Keys. Connect OHT

Creating Tasks for Content Synchronization

To send the localization content to OHT you need to create tasks in Crowdin project. Follow these step by step instructions for task creation:

  1. Click Create Task using Tasks tab or straight from OHT integration window using Vendors tab. Create Task
  2. Set the task parameters:
    • Task Name – specify the name of the task that will be visible for OHT translators
    • Description (optional) – add more details about the task that might be useful for OHT translators
    • Type – choose Translate by Vendor option
    • Translation Vendor – choose OneHourTranslation
    • Expertise – define the expertise that best suits your project
    • Strings – define if all untranslated strings shall be available for translation or only those that were modified within a specific period
    • Files – select the files that shall be translated
    • Languages – select translation languages and keep in mind that for each selected language a separate task will be created
  3. Click Create Task for project files to be sent to OHT.

In case you change the task’s name or description or update the files selected for the existing task, it won’t be re-synchronized with OHT.

Oversættelsesproces

After you create a task it’s sent to OHT automatically and becomes visible to OHT translators in Open Projects tab. OHT translator will need to Start Project and then click Join link to access Crowdin Editor. Start Project

A translator will be logged in Crowdin with OHT profile data to work on content localization. As soon as translation starts the related task in Crowdin will automatically move to In Progress status. And when the translations are finished (marked Completed on OHT side) task will gain Done status in Crowdin.

Discussions and Comments

If you need to add additional details to an already created task, you can add Comments. Kommentarer

Comments are synchronized with OHT so that a translator can see them in the Customer Discussion section and reply if needed. Translator messages left in the Customer Discussion section in OHT project are also automatically sent to Crowdin and shown in the Comments section inside the Crowdin task.
